Shandeh's UFOs and FOs, with photos

Okay, I’ve decided to set the record straight about which projects I’m actually working on. Lestrella called me on the carpet the other day, saying that she was wondering if I have finished all the projects I’ve talked about in the forum.

Well, it was reckoning day for me, I guess. I had to admit that sometimes I have lost interest in some projects, and just frogged them. Other times, I didn’t really like the way they looked. So, they went the way of the frog also. :teehee:

So, here is a list of all the projects I started, but never finished. To redeem myself, I will also list the projects I’m still plugging away on. So, I’m not really THAT bad, I guess.

Unfinished Objects that were FROGGED:

Garter Stitch Tunic - Didn’t like how thick the knitting was. Decided I would rather have a thinner top.

Cat’s Paw Socks for Angelia - never could get the “cat’s paw” lace pattern to be the right size around the ankle or leg.

Wimple with Debbie Bliss Alpaca Silk - the wimple was not “laying” right, and I didn’t see the purpose of trying to block a circular garment, that would just be laying around my neck most of the time.

Irish Hiking Scarf - I’m not too thrilled with wearing a scarf that has a right side and a wrong side.

Dipsy Cable Lace Scarf - same problem. The design looks bad on the wrong side.

Fall Shrug with TLC Essentials - I didn’t like how wide the arms were on the shrug, so I’ve decided to look for a different pattern.

Sweet Delight Socks - I didn’t like the way the yarn felt. Not what I wanted to wear on my feet.

And NOW, here are the UFO’s that I’m still working on:
Willa Top with Incredible yarn
Noro Kureyon Bag
Socks for a musical friend
Rust Thick & Quick Sweater
Cozy, with Indiecita Alpaca yarn

Oh! And I recently finished two items.
Baby Afghan for Charity
Wrist Warmers with Sock Yarn

now, don’t you feel better? :teehee:

Yeah. It was like an hour spent at the altar at church during Revival. Or, the equivalent of a good Catholic person after going to confession. :teehee:

You also finished a pair of socks. The one you were wearing on our first meeting, remember?

You are forgiven, my sister. :teehee:

Thanks, my friends! :teehee:

Lestrella, I didn’t list everything I’ve knit. If I did that, it would take up a whole page!

I’ll take my own challenge now…I’ll attempt to list everything I’ve ever knit. (I don’t think I can remember it all.)

WHOA! holy crap that’s a LOT of knits!
AND you are managing 3 oddball blankets!

Shandeh…
you are living the dream! :notworthy:

Yeah, I used to be a big-time dreamer. Then, I went through major depression, finally realizing that some things are more important than money. Like peace of mind, or pursuing your dreams and goals.

Then, I made a list of all the things I wanted to do before I die. Knitting and Spinning Yarn were two of the things on the list.

Wowza!So…many cool FO’s. :cheering: I’am amazed!
I especially like Christening Gown and Feather and Fan baby set.

Thank you, dewdrops!

Whoa boy, you must have felt really guilty if you got that “walk down the aisle feeling!” As a Baptist, I understand that feeling! lol Hey, I am sure most folks have done it. I am just too OCD so I plug along until I finish the project even if I hate it! lol

I just can’t make myself do that. If I don’t like something, I don’t want to waste any more energy on it.

Holy moley Sandy! :noway: That’s a LOT of knitting! :noway:

great FO/UFOs shandeh! i love the ribbon top and your noro bag. is the noro 115? its very pretty

Thanks Jenelle and jeanius80!

jeanius80, I used color 128 for the Noro Kureyon bag. Here’s a photo I found online that shows that yarn very well. It has all my favorite autumn shades.

WOW, that is one incredible collection of knits!! Everything is just beautiful!

You made a pink shawl, which I’ll photograph later. Bucky (the dog pictured in my av) had a lawn party with the spare yarn, btw.

And you made two pairs of red sox that are the same identical color, never mind the photos below.

I forgot about those! I made them long before I joined the forum, so I wasn’t taking photos then. Thanks, Sis!
