I finished the shadow wrap heel. What is next steps to finish sock. I have 74 stitches on needles now and cast on 64 stitches on sock cuff. Should I do decreases before I work even for foot section?
Are you using a pattern for this sock or making up your own? Did you work the heel over half the cast on sts, 32sts?
After you finish the second half of the heel you have resolved the shadow wraps by knitting the stitches together so you should end with the same number of sts that you started with.
Were some of the shadow wraps not knit together with the stitch so that you have more sts?

I must have messed up the shadow wrap. I will try it again. It is a new heel method for me. Thank you for your help. I’ll let you know how I make out with second try.
Try it out with some scrap yarn if you’d like. That’ll spare your good sock yarn until you’re sure you’ve got it working.
I like this 2 part video on shadow wrap heels. It’s toe up for the demo but it doesn’t matter which way you knit these heels, toe up or cuff down.
You can always place a lifeline in the sts before the heel begins so you don’t lose any there.
