Sewn Bind Off?

I am working on a shrug/bolero and am nearly finished. For reference, the pattern is found here:

It’s is a ribbed lace bolero. Gorgeous and the pattern is fantastic.

The pattern says to: “Bind of using Elizabeth Zimmerman’s sewn bind-0ff.”

I’ve tried googling this, but have not found a real fantastic reference to tell me how to do this. I haven’t been able to find it on knittinghelp.com either (i.e. videos).

Can someone explain this to me in slow laymen’s terms?? Lol…I haven’t been knitting THAT long and while I’m doing great on the lacework…I’m stuck on this bind off. I can bind of with the ribbing…would that not be stretchy enough as the sewn bind off?

Also, if anyone knows of photos or videos of this bind off, that would be awesome.

Hope this helps-
Break off the yarn and leave a tail 4 times the width of your piece. Sew forward (right to left) through two stitches as if to purl, leave the stitches on the needle. Sew backward (left to right) through one stitch as if to knit, slip stitch off the needle. Continue in this pattern to the end.
