I got my first sewing machine for Xmas last night. It is the Brother® LB-6800THRD Computerized Sewing and Embroidery Machine. I don’t know anything about sewing machines but the reviews and what I have found online aren’t too bad for this machine.
I was wondering if anyone here can suggest a forum/website comparable to this one specifically for sewing. I have been watching youtube tutorials and reading the manuals of course but it’s so nice to have a community of all skill levels to get and give advice from.

This site is meant to be sort of like ravelry but it is rather new and I can’t say I have spent a lot of time looking at it. I was the same way with ravelry when I first joined too so I am sure I will eventually start using it more. http://mysewingcircle.com/

Awesome, thanks brendajos. I really wish sewing was a whole part of Ravelry like knitting and crocheting. It’s my second favorite place to be next to KH. I just haven’t found where I fit in sewing yet. I’m sure I will eventually.
