I’ve tried to search the forums but I can’t find what I need. I THINK I read in one of the posts that you should NOT use sewing thread to sew buttons onto a knitted item because sewing thread is too thin and can cut through the yarn. I also think it said to use one ply of the same yarn, used to knit the item, to sew on the button.
Since I can’t find the post, can anyone tell me if this is what I should do? I’ve only sewn buttons onto fabric so I’m not sure about a knitted item.
