Sew pockets on scarf

I have knitted all the components to a pocket scarf. What is the best method of sewing on the pockets. I used Jiffy bulky yarn, size 10 needles.

if you have thinner yarn in a similar color that would be the best thing to use to overcast stitch the pockets in place. If your bulky yarn is easy to separate into plies, you could use one or two plies from that to sew up.
