Selling on Ebay - Shandeh's Shimple Guide

No! You should wait for the payment to be COMPLETELY taken care of before you mail your item. You gotta protect yourself, you know! I would recommend taking money orders only until you get your paypal account.

When I was first buying, I preferred using money orders, because I didn’t want to give my credit card number out. (You have to protect your identity.) That’s why I love paypal. I can use my debit card, credit card and bank account through paypal, and I get the assurance of paypal protecting my account numbers.

Also, if you never receive the item, paypal will refund your money!

What happens if you ship the item - it gets lost - does paypal take the money back from you to refund the buyer?

Exactly. You lose if it gets lost.

So, it pays to do the “Delivery Confirmation” thing.

Ahhhhh… I did not know that.

I sold my pink boots (I’m going to miss them) but my shoes did not sell. :pout: :cheering:

Some buyers don’t know how to use the paypal refund thing, though. It all depends on the customer.

My shipment went out to the buyer a couple days after she paid, and now she has received her package and left positive feedback.
