I’m thinking of using Red Heart Stripes self-striping yarn to crochet a baby blanket.
It occurred to me that I have not seen any crochet patterns for self-striping yarns. Does the yarn self-stripe when crocheted or only when knitted?
It will for both knit and crochet, but the patterns would be different. What is the actual yarn name? Maybe I can find some pictures of it crocheted.

I thought that was it and found some crocheted items at Ravelry. There’s a few here at the RH site. So it does still stripe.
One of my favorites is Red Heart Mexicali yarn. It has rainbow colors in it that make it great for children’s items. I find that it looks better crocheted than knitted. Mexicali yarn makes great pot holders for gifts if you use it double stranded with a red yarn. Awesome color combination. You might want to try adding a second color with yours.
