Seed stitch increase

I’m working on a seed stitch pattern that calls for an increase at each end of every other row. My question is, how do I increase in this manner without compromising the seed stitch pattern?

Thanks!

When I have to do this, I make the increase be what the next stitch would be.

So depending on what the order is, I might knit and purl in the last stitch, or purl and knit in the last stitch. It doesn’t look perfect, but it’s only on the very edge. After the increases, the pattern is incorporated and looks good.
