Securing the beginning of the thread after picking up

Do you mean when starting a new ball of yarn (or when changing colors), that sort of thing?

I just leave it loose until I’m done and then weave it in like you would any other end. :thumbsup:

wouldn’t it become loose?? I always make a knot when I connect two threads. Since picking up doesn’t seems to allow me to make a knot, I guess, there could be some other way to secure it… :thinking:

I use this method to weave in ends and have never needed knots: http://knitty.com/ISSUEfall04/FEATfall04TT.html It’s VERY secure, especially if you’re like me and do it more than it needs to be done. :wink:
