Okay, well, it’s only one sock out of the pair because I was excited and wanted to go ahead and take pictures.
This is the second pair of socks that I’ve attempted and this was the first time that I’ve tried to adjust a pattern in any major way. It was also my first try at cabling (which was fun!).
Pattern: I did Silver’s sock class, but did a cable and rib repeat instead of the k2, p2 ribbing. I also carried the pattern down the top of the foot.
Yarn: Berroco Comfort in turquoise, worsted weight.
Puddin - I did have to make sure that the cable/rib pattern would be symmetrical between the top and bottom of the foot when I started the sock, but really for the top of the foot I just kept going in pattern on the top 20 stitches until I got close to the toes and felt like stopping. The repeat pattern was K P2 K4 P2 K (splitting up the K’s on the end makes it symmetrical), and I did C4F (Cable 4 forward) every 6 rows.
