My dil fell in love with my mittens so I made her a pair in a pretty buttercup yellow. It is a knitpicks Brava yarn and I used the same pattern as before the easy autumn mittens on Ravelry. Because the pattern is for someone with smaller hands, I added 3 rows after the cuff and before starting the thumb gusset and lengthened it by a few patterns. I also had to lengthen the thumb a few rows. I made the first one and let her try it on before they went back home. So, I will mail them to her after washing and blocking them.
Beautiful. I think the best thing about hand knitting is that you can custom fit things. You do such lovely work, too. Who wouldn’t love a pair of those mittens? ![]()
