Seaming Question

Hello, everyone:
I have recently finished knitting a sweater using two strands of worsted weight yarn. I would like to know if it is better to seam the sweater together with two strands of yarn such as when knitting the sweater or would one strand of yarn be sufficient. Thank you for any answers sent my way.

You may need to do a test on your swatch to see if doubling is too bulky. I’d be tempted to suggest one strand would be sufficient (and easier to do…two strands of worsted in a large tap ndl seems a tad unwieldy).

Thanks for the insight, Cam. I was hoping to avoid swatching, but it was bound to happen.

I would say unless your yarn is very tender (if it pulls apart very easily) one strand should be sufficient. And if it is tender, you should probably use something else altogether. I wouldn’t swatch, I’m too lazy, I’d just do it. LOL
