Seaming Cap Sleeves

I’m finishing up a sweater for myself :happydance: but want to make sure I seam up the sleeves correctly.

For cap sleeves, do I seam up to the few bind off stitches and leave the “cap” portion alone? It seems that is what I should do but I would hate to seam it up wrong.

The bind off stitches on the sleeve and the bind off stitches on the body portion will eventually be seamed together to form the underarm. Only the cap portion of the sleeve will be seamed into the armhole.
