Seam for poncho ... HELP!

I’m making a poncho that I created. I knitted two triangles that I have to sew at the shoulders. How should I go about it? Usually I do the “basic knit bind off” and then sew the two pieces together. But I was thinking about doing the “three needle bind off” but I’m not sure what to do for the neck opening :pout:

Can anyone give me advise please

Could you do the 3KBO up to the neck opening, then do the regular bind off on the front and back, then do the 3KBO the rest of the way down? You’d have to cut your yarn, but that seems like it would work.

Can someone else confirm that this method is going to work. I try to visualise it and I’m not sure …

Maybe I should bind off the neck opening on both triangles first and then do the 3 needle bind off on both sides for the shoulders???

That would work. Knit across the shoulder, bind off the neck and then knit across the other shoulder. This will keep your stitches live for the 3nbo.
