Scruchable scarf

Just wondering how much yarn (in yads) I should buy to do a scrunchable scarf. I want it to be at least 5 feet long, preferrably 6-7.

It depends on what yarn & needles you use, and how many repeats wide you want it to be, too…

I’m using size 10 needles and want it to be about 10 inches wide, and I think that’s roughly 45 stitches, or 15 repeats. Using Lion Brand Wool-Ease worsted weight and I already have 6 skiens of it.

Plus what is the sleveage? (That’s a slipped stitch at the begining of each row right?) Is it one extra stitch period, or one extra stitch at each end?

The selvedge is a slipped stitch at the beginning of the row and a knit stitch at the end. It sounds like you have plenty of yarn for what you want.

Crap…

I’ve just realised I’ll have to frog mine and start again… :S

Thank GOODNESS I’m going on a ‘knitting’ holiday tomorrow ngiht… :S

“Knitting holiday” Isn’t that the same as heaven?

T’would be heaven if it were in a ski lodge with a personal slave… LMAO

hehe… but yes… it’s pretty darn close!!
