Scarf Striping Question?

I’m knitting a scarf as a gift, i wanted to make it striped. I’m alternating two colors, and doing about 10 rows a section. I plan on making atleast 20 sections, would it be easier to keep switching yarn colors, or just make 20 seperate sections to sew them toghether?

Thanks for your help:hug:

I would find easier to keep switching colors than having so many seams to sew. I would also weave in as I went along. I did that when I made my DIL 's afghan. Main color was white with three colored bands of colors with white between to seperate the bands of color. I just cut yarn when I needed to attach the new color. I did not knit the sections seperately because it would have meant over 10 seams to sew together. Much easier to weave in than sew seams.

for that project: change colors, make the stripes as you go. But do not run the other thread up along the side (because the edge will be exposed there) but break the yarn at every stripe and weave in the ends (pay attention to weave every yarn end in its own color stripe to hide most efficiently.
