Scarf Set For Daughter

This set is for my daughter. Thanks to two women from Ravelry I was able to get what I needed to finish. The scarf used a lot of yarn, but I love the cables and end result.

It is made from Caron Simply Soft Shadows.
The cap is a free pattern from Ravelry.
The scarf and mittens are a my idea drawn up from different information from here and there.

Beautiful job! I love the hat, and you did an awesome job creating the matching scarf and mittens … I’m sure your daughter will LOVE it!

Thank you.
I love it too and want one for myself. I might have to wait until Christmas is over though. I have more to do for others before I can make for me.

Great job! Everything turned out beautiful! Love the color and it looks really soft!

I love that you carried the cables to the back of the hat. I’ve seen some of these hats with knit and purl for the back.

This is a beautiful set. Love the color, too!

Wow! You did a great job – I LOVE the cap! Gorgeous color, too.

Hi!
this looks great! could you link the hat pattern here? I’d love to try that some day.
What’s inside the brim? Pastic? cardboard? anything?

What a great set! Your daughter is sure to love it!!

I cut away the bottom and rim of a large margarine container and used it for the brim.

thanks a lot for the link. I instantly saved it. That may be a fun knit for myself after I am done with my x-mas knitting and the socks I just started.

Lovely work! The set is fantastic!!!

What a pretty set!! She’ll love it (I know I would!)

I love that you carried the cables to the back of the hat. I’ve seen some of these hats with knit and purl for the back.

I think I’ll add one more cable and place less purls between the cables on the next one I make.
This is a simple pattern and quick to knit with a size 8, 16" circular needle. I used the magic loop method on the top when decreasing. I’ll also increase the length a little more by make the ribbing at the bottom about twice the length that it calls for.
