Scarf Patterns

Hello-

OK, I know it’s getting warm outside, but I think I need to start NOW to get my Christmas presents done! HA! Does anyone know where I can find patterns for these two scarfs?

Thank you!!

Danielle

This site has the longest list of free scarf patterns Ive ever seen:

Also, check under “winter gear”!

oooohhhhh fun! I will take a look!!!

ooo GREAT link, KK! yipiiee!

knittingpatterncentral.com is one of my FAVE links! (I almost typed “kinks”! )

no, we don’t want any kinkiness around here. you’ll offend beldaraan.

'Nuff said. :fingerwag:

Sure…OK, Ms. KNOTTY.

OK, so i went through every scarf on that site and I couldn’t find either of these patterns  Any more thoughts on finding these two scarfs?

Well, the sideways picture looks like it would be really easy to knit. Extra wide but short-ish scarf in garter stitch with heavy weight nubbly yarn… then use a thinner (cotton maybe?) yarn for the extra long fringes.

The corkscrew-ish one (I think) can be done with short rows…I saw something like it but of course no pattern was with it. And I really don’t know what a short row is

Now I’m not too sure about the first picture, the orange scarf… it looks, to me like it’s crocheted in a spiral… soooooo I found this knit scarf pattern in my “to knit” bookmarks, and I thought it might be close. It looks sort of similar, and there’s directions! :happydance: woohoo! On a side note, I posted this topic a while ago about a corkscrew fringe, and that might be helpful too.

Thank you!! Thank you!! Thank you!! Thank you!!!

:cheering:

But, what does “KFB every stitch” mean???

knit in the front and back, like the bar increase (here is a link for amy’s directions and video ) … so basically every other row you’re doubling the number of stitches you have on your needle. You start with 90, at the end of row 2 you’ll have 180, at the end of row 4 you’ll have 360 and at the end of row 6 you’ll have 720. I’d use a longer circular than 29 inches, (like a 40) if you have one. Good luck!

Holy Cow that’s crazy!! I will give it a shot though! Thank you for all your help!

no problem dude!
