Scarf-knitting questions

Hello!

My question is a little bit difficult, but any help would be phenomenal!

I essentially want to knit THIS scarf. Don’t worry, it’s from a video game–I’m not actually stealing someone’s design.

I was wondering what the best way to go about knitting this is. Basically, the scarf appears to have a stockinette-type stitch, with a black border. I thought maybe double knitting would work, but I’m not sure. Also, the border becomes another tricky factor, which I’m not quite sure how to incorperate.

I hope this isn’t crocheting, either!

Any and all suggestions would be WONDERFUL!

It does look like stockinette with a border which would be easy. Just knit the scarf in stockinette and then pick up stitches to do a different colored border. You might need a long cabled circular needle for it… :think: That particular border looks like it might be i-cord.
