Scarf/Hat Issues *sigh*

SO.

I am knitting this scarf hat, and the scarf turned out fine, but the hood came out about 6 inches too small. Here is a picture…

As you can see, it could barely fit a kindergartner, let alone a teenager. I was thinking of picking up stitches on the side edges and then knitting it bigger. Do you all think this would work? Any other advice?

That could work quite well. You could pick up stitches and add a nice ribbing all around the face, or even use a different yarn to make an edging.

Oooh…a rib! I didn’t think of that. I was just going to do more stockinette. I like it!
