S1KP - think I understand

I’m knitting a nursing blanket/shawl and want to be sure I’ve got the S1KP straight in my mind. I’ll slip one stitch left to right needle, knit the next left hand stitch then pass the slip stitch over the one I just knit, leaving it on the right needle and moving along with the pattern

Correct

That is nice blanket you are working on, if you need anything else don’t hesitate just jump back in and ask. Knitters here are nice bunch of people willing to help. We would like to see finished project if you want to show, happy knitting

ZKOhio has confirmed you thought and you should be on your way with the blanket. Would you please delete the large portion of the pattern as we can’t post large portions due to designer copyright. Just the name or a link is fine. Many thanks.

Yes, you’ve got it! A suggestion: this increase can look less attractive than k2tog and for me an easy fix to help it look better it to make sure as much yarn as possible is pulled from the slipped stitch into the knit stitch that is part of the decrease. The only videos I can find for this are for ssk, the other way to do a left leaning increase. I’ve switched to skp instead of ssk because I find it easier to pull the slipped stitch tighter.

I’m so sorry! I can’t see a way to delete the image.

I will definitely share a photo when finished!

The deletion you made is just fine. The question is still understandable and you’ve gotten good advice so you can continue. Come back if you still have questions.
