Hi Ya’ll - here’s a hat I just made for a baby girl my friend just had. I know you can’t tell that well, but I used a light pink ribbon through it. Not perfect but it’s the best hat I’ve made so far. I used DPNs for the first time! YAY! It was easier than I thought it would be 
:cheering: Love it!! My first hat ended up so big dh can’t even wear it :rofling: I leave the hat knitting up to you guys now…

believe me…i’ve knitted so many hats that turned out terribly! this was the first one to turn out right! my son looks like a rastafarian in the hat I made him :roflhard:

LOL maybe after Christmas I’ll try again… I’m working on a helmet liner and I’m soo afraid its gonna end up so HUGE noone can wear it…

Hi Vanessa - yes, this was a free pattern posted here on knittinghelp. It’s in the hat section on the bottom under baby hats. It’s called Ellen’s Ruffled Hat. I did it because it said beginner :lol:

It was so easy and it looks so nice…i would definitely recommend it. Right now I’m working on a poncho for my neice and hopefully soon I can start a hat for my son that will actually fit!
If you want a good hat pattern thats not to to hard let me know… How old is your son??? I will give you a GREAT site for hats once i find it HEE HEE I have a tone of links and stuff so let me look and I will send it to you.

Oh great!!! My son is 3 and my daughter is 1 1/2. I’d love a site for a good hat for them. I tried making a simple one for him before but it was way too big! He looked so silly! :lol:
