Rowan knitting pattern -Tavish

Hi!

So I’m working on the Rowan knitting pattern, Tavish. I don’t understand one section with decreases. It is as follows:

Cast off 3 sts at beg of next 2 rows. (105 sts)
Dec 1 st at each end of next 7 rows, then on foll 25 alt rows. (41 sts)

The math just doesn’t make sense to me. I dont know if I’m reading it wrong or what but it seems to me that I would need to decrease twice on all of the rows to get to that final stitch count.

Any insight would be appreciated!

Here’s what you will be doing:

Starting with 105 sts, you will decrease 1 st on both ends of the next 7 rows. (Which will leave you with 91 sts)

Then you will continue to decrease 1 st on both ends of every other row 25 times. (That will leave you with 41 sts).
