Rowan Greenwich pattern

Please could someone explain a section of the pattern for the back.
I have started the raglan armhole decreases. The second row of this reads:
“Sl 1, k3 sl 1, k2tog paso, k to last 7 sets, k3tog, k4. (121 stitches for my size)
( I understand this.)
“Working all raglan armhole decreases as set by last row, dec 2 sets at each end of 4th row and 18 foll 6th rows. 45 stitches. ( I’ve just given details for my size)
My questions are: 1. Do I decrease on every row or every other row, as some raglan patterns seem to suggest?
2. What does “and 18 foll 6th rows” mean? Do I decrease 18 stitches on the 6th row? That seems a lot of stitches to lose at once so early in the armhole.

Welcome to the forum!

I’ve made this sweater and not too long ago.
The pattern has set the next decrease on the 4th row. There is the decrease you quoted on row 2 so the following decrease is on the 4th row. Then the decreases are every 6th row for 18 rows. That’s going to be rows 10,16,22,28,34,40,46,52 and so on until you’ve completed 18 of these rows. (There will be a total of 20 decrease rows if you include the ones on rows 2 and 4.)
Remember that there are 4 decreases on each decrease row, two near the beginning of the row and two near the end.
Have fun knitting this one.
