Morning! I am looking for a row/stitch counter that does not require me to stop knitting and turn a wheel lol… I get into a rhythm and then have to stop and turn the counter. If only all lifes issues were this stressful, right? :roflhard:
Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks so much!

I use this one and I really like it. I put it on the arm of my chair so it’s within easy reach and just take a half a second to click it as I’m turning my work.
Recently, Axe (Lynx in the UK) released a fragrance called Click - they gave away a free clicker (as seen in the ad with Ben Affleck). I sent off for one of those and that is now my row counter. I can stick it round my neck and it just takes a second to click =D It is a bit like the Clover Kacha Kacha in that its a click and count thing.

I use the same one knitaddict uses, but if someone wanted to spoil me, they could give me one of the electronic ones.
– anne, I also had one of those row counters you constantly had to turn yourself & while it may not be a problem on the level of world peace, yes, it’s a pain, though a minor one.
I use this mini row counter. I like it because I can wear it around my neck, and it can be locked when I put down my knitting, so no fear of anyone accidentally bumping or clicking it when it shouldn’t be.

Here’s the one I use for complicated knitting patterns. There are 4 sections you can use for different parts. (One for colors, one for pattern, one for rows, etc.)
I used it a lot when I was making the Saguaro top, because I had the stripe pattern going at the same time as the shaping. I couldn’t have done it without that counter.

Well, if you don’t want to use your hands, you could always get one of these and use your toes…

I haven’t tried it yet, but it sure seems like a great idea. When I’ve used a row counter in the past, I’d inevitably forget to advance it and get totally lost. This forces you to remember because you keep running into it at each row. Best thing is, it’s free!
My LYS has counter rings.They are different colored metal rings.

I have the same row counter as Mulene. My boyfriend brought this home one day afer I mentioned that I really did not like the row counter that fits on the needles. At first I was like, what in the world is this, but now I really like it. It works for me.
