Round afghan

I just started knitting a round afghan using remainders from all my old projects. (Sort of a memory thing.) No pattern, lots of different types/colors of yarn. I know it will be weird. I’d like it to be a fairly even circle. Am I right that I can do this by increasing on every (every other?) round by 1 stitch every 4 stitche, then every 5 stitches, then every 6 stitches, etc?

Thanks!!!

I’m not sure, but this might help as a guide: http://www.knitlist.com/00gift/round-baby-blanket.htm

 Thanks, Mer. I think that will work. Is your name French for the sea, or is it short for something? (Mine is the name my DS used when he was little, pretending he was an alien.)

Glad that will help! Mer is short for Meredith, but I do like the sea/water connection. horve1 is a good alien name.
