Rotate 90 degrees?

How can I find the multiple 12sts +15.

Is this in reference to the Edna Shawl or another pattern?
If the pattern says it is a multiple of 12 + 15, then it is a multiple of 12. That means that you can use 12,24,36,or 48 sts etc. plus 15sts. So the cast on would be 12+15 or 24+15 or 36+15 or 48+15 etc.

Thank you.

Another question at the bottom of the pattern
It say to cast on 55sts.are those the sts I have to cast. And on the chart at the bottom
It shows from 8-19 between the black lines
Under the number 8-19 it has the 12st rep
What do I do there rep it 12 times.

Hi Maria, Is this the Edna shawl? I don’t see a cast on of 55st or a chart with a 12stitch repeat. Can you give us a link to the pattern, please?

In the pattern of the shawl I’M making it said
To rep rnds 3-4 until there are 80 sts on each
Side.but I always end up with for example
18 sts on one side and 20 on the other side
What am I doing wrong.

Maria, what is the name of the pattern that you’re following?
You may be forgetting or dropping a yarn over or two on one side, or adding in extra yarn overs or forgetting decreases or making too many decreases. It’s difficult to say without seeing the pattern.

Here is the pattern.

Maria, is this you finished project? It looks wonderful.

Now I wanna knit a cover for my phone
But the pattern calls for cable 4left & cable 4 right if left mean in back
& does
Right mean front confused.

When you cable, you change the order of the stitches. If you want to cable to cross in front and to the right, (RC, right cross) hold the first sts (in your case 2sts) to the back. If you want the cable to cross to the left (LC, left cross), hold the first 2sts to the front.
Here are two videos and there are more online.

What is a selvage or selvege st

A selvedge stitch is an extra edge stitch, not part of the pattern but there to help with seaming. Patterns may or may not call for a selvedge stitch but you can always add one in if you prefer.
