Rosy Garden Cardigan help please

I’ve just started this baby cardigan and done the rosebud rows on the back. I’m doing the smallest size. Then it says:
Beg with a k row, cont in st st dec 1st at each end of next(3rd:next:3rd) and 1(2:4:5) foll 6th rows. 55(61:67:73) sts.
So for the smallest size, how many rows of st st do I do. Surely it’s not just 6 rows as the other sizes do more. Am I missing something?

Welcome to KH!
Call the next row, row 1. Dec at each end of rows 1 and 7 (55sts).
Then the pattern continues with “Work 3 rows, ending with a ws row.” After these 3 rows you’ll continue with the Heart motif instructions.
I’ve made this jacket and it is darling.

I’ve made the blanket for our granddaughter who was born last Monday and am now making the cardigan for her. 🩷
