Hello, I have just finished knitting a little Robin Redbreast (Jean Greenhowe’s Christmas Special) and there are no feet as they are sewn onto the log as part of the Xmas setup, which I’m not doing. Either I can sew them into the underside of the robin to resemble claws or I can make some little legs and claws, which I’d rather do. I need some advice on the easiest way to do this please. Nothing too complicated please
Many thanks.

That’s a sweet little pattern, which I also have - I didn’t do the log, either, but I meant to!
Anyway, I think you could probably use wire or pipe cleaners cut to length, threaded through the body and folded over so there’s an equal length of wire each side, bend the ends to make feet (add some more cut wire to make toes!), bend the cut ends over for safety and wrap the whole thing with yarn.

Thank you, I like the idea of pipe cleaners, I have some somewhere! ![]()
