Could someone tell me what a right slanting decrease on the purl side would be??
It would be P2tog.
I tried p2t and it does not look right.
According to my Montse Stanley book, p2tog is a left-slanting decrease. For a right-slanting decrease on the purl side:
[ul](Slip 1 kwise) twice
Return the 2 sts to left needle in this twisted way
Insert right needle from the back, first into 2nd stitch then into 1st st, and p-b2tog[/ul]
However, if you do a P2tog on the wrong side of your work (the purl side) it will show as a right slanting decrease on the right side of your work, which is usually the side that is seen. This is what I thought was being asked. Sorry if I was misleading.
