Ribbing question

I’m nearing the end of the first of a pair of fingerless gloves and doing the cuff in K1P1 ribbing. I notice that, not only can I see how my knitting improved, it seems to have happened faster on the reverse side. That is, the inside of the cuff looks smoother and more evenly tensioned than any of the outside. Is that common?

I’ve never noticed that myself. Usually when they are blocked or washed it all evens out pretty well so they should be fine though.
