I am doing a rib stitch for a dickey pattern, then, it says “right side facing for next row”- since it is rib and same on both sides, how do I know which is my right side?
The simple answer is usually “just pick one.” However, in this case you purl to start a wrong side row and knit to start the right side, so when you’re about to knit the first two stitches, you’re on the right side of the work. It wouldn’t be a disaster if you did it the other way, but the way the ridges sit would be different.
Just saying thanks for the link. Becky got it spot on already.
