Maybe a silly Question. If a pattern says 5rows of 2x2 Rib, is that actually 5 rows or 10?
I think it is 5 rows. And each row is 2X2 rib, k2p2 I assume.

I would think it’s 5 rows worked each RS and WS (i.e., (RS, WS) x 5 = 10 rows total). Otherwise, you’d be ending on a RS row, which isn’t the norm. So unless the directions following the ribbing indicate you’re to work WS… ![]()
What is the name of your pattern?
Whatever the stitch pattern is for the rib, 5 rows is going to be 5 rows.
Sometimes pattern have you start on a WS row, sometimes there is a following row with increases or decreases in pattern.
5 rows, knit 2 then purl 2 all the way across (and knit the knits, purl the purls on alternate rows).
Thanks very much everyone

Yes, so the 6th row I suppose is an increase
Do you want to quote just the 6th row here or are you ok with it?
