help… if i am to rib 2 tog and the next stitch is a knit and the one after is a pearl. DO i knit them toget or pearl them together???

Is is a kp rib? If it is, it really doesn’t matter because you won’t be keeping the ribbing even in a way that will include the dec, so just pick one and then keep the rest of the ribbing even. I’d probably purl since in ribbing it’s less noticeable.
it is a knit 2 pearl 2 rib…the decrease is in front of the band on a cardigan so it is quite noticeable especially since you only decrease every 4 rows…the band consists of 3 knit stitches and in front of that is 2 pearl stitches the decreases are supposed to occur in front of the pearl stitches…im guessing pearl them but it doesnt work in every occasion

When you’re working decreases like that, it’s really not possible to keep it perfect. Just keep it to what the next stitch would have been and let the work kind of meld into the band. It will look fine.
