Rhodiola and tweed stitch
Thank you for your replies.
I was in the early days of covid so a bit of brain fog was probably going on.
It’s really very easy and just as Michele says. I was j being a bit picky and wanting to align the beginning of the tweed stitches with the ribbing.
The three stitch pattern video doesn’t work for this and the other video is more horizontal but to remind myself of what I need to be doing in my hazy brain I wrote down the following:( Work as the stitches face you)
Row 1 (main colour) slip the purl stitches, knit the knit stitches
Row 2 (main colour) knit the purl stitches, purl the slipped stitches.
Row 3 (contrast colour; in this project the same colour as the ribbing) slip the purl stitches, knit the knit stitches)
Row 4 (contrast colour) knit the purl stitches, purl the slipped stitches.
You are right, it takes a few reps of the pattern to see the effect. I am really pleased with it and will post a photo.
Sorry to hear about Covid and I hope you’re doing better now.
Delighted that you’ve got the stitch working. We’re looking forward to seeing the photo of the finished sweater!
