anyone knitted the #305 Azalea Cardigan from Sweaterbabe.com? I purchased from Raverly..Geeze 9 pages of confusion. I know how to follow even though it is horrible pages of insructions. I can’t seem to get in sync with the Reverse Stst triangle inbetween lace panels. it increases 2 within the triangle using M1lp at 1 end and M1rp and other end. which are pearls. it starts with 1 pearl . when i knit the wrong side do i the knit the pearls and pearl the knits?? Could really use a pattern I can write down to follow easier…this is a mess. I am actually using Juniper Moon Zooey yarn..which I actually recycled from a prior sweater..HELP!![]()
For reverse stockinette you will purl on the right side or public side, and knit on the wrong side or inside of the fabric.
If you begin with 1 stitch and increase to 3 on the right side then you will k3 on the wrong side.
Markers might help to keep on track.
Hope this helps
Thank you. I am trying to make this more than it is.1. Knitting across right side..I come to Trimble and increase with m1lp and m1rp which creates the right side all pearl.
2. Then on reverse side I come to triangle and knit all these..
Is this correct

Whoa..i reread..so i p on increases in triangle on right side. And knit themon the reverse side. Why wouldnt it just say K the K. P the P

Perhaps there is an earlier instruction for how to work reverse stockinette? Perhaps it is assumed the knitter knows how?
It sounds a both lengthy and unclear in the 9 pages of instruction.
Not all knitters understand knit the knits and purl the purls, or work sts as they are presented, so it could be a confusion for others if worded that way too.
Hopefully you’re on track now but just ask if there is more confusion.
Thank u again. Yes, this whole pattern kinda rambles on..sometimes i.just confuse myself..I’ve really knitted some difficult items..i.just always dislike the way some print it out.
Hope u are celebrating Morisl Day. My husband is a 2x purple heart Vietnam vet. We took our grandson 2 years ago to DC and went to the memorials. Very emotional day.

I had to look that up, we have a different day in the UK, Remembrance day in November.
It’s good to remember the sacrifice and service of all defence personnel, past and present, no matter what the day, they work hard every day.
I.didnt know but we’re in Canada. We actually bought a home on Mayne IslandBC..and I celebrated remembrance day with a parade . Our Island mounted rode her
, farmer tractors, dogs, kids all marched thru a very small town to the church then onto.the community meeting center. We lived next to.the Light house on the straight of Georgia..Great times and memories! We r american so we weren’t able to become landed immigrants at that time. Then 9/11 happened. We spent last summer in Alberta and loved it!

There are some comments on this project in Ravelry that might be helpful, regarding several factors of this pattern:
Wow..after reading the remarks i am windering if i should acap the whole thing as i am only starting row 7 main lace section! I thought it might look nice with my recycled Juniper Moon Zooey yarn but after seeing this I dont think.itbwill work well. This yarn is “drapey” ..
Bummer..I really appreciate the honesty of the report. Also had help from Knittin forum
There aren’t many projects listed in Ravelry so it’s difficult to get a feel for the general opinion on the sweater. A test knitter loved it but it may call for an experienced lace knitter.
Juniper Moon Farm Zooey is a lovely, drapey yarn perfect for cool summer days if you get them. I knit the Sunshine Coast pattern by Heidi Kirrmaier using it and loved the result. A simpler pattern but lots of nice detail.
As @salmonmac says, one of the test knitters loved it and thought the pattern was well-written:
It’s certainly pretty! Maybe go through and mark your pattern sizes for the lace and see how it goes? Swatch the lace to see if you like it in the Zooey?
Thank.u for the information!

I think it’s worth giving it a go. Sometimes it’s not obvious until you get going on a pattern if it’s enjoyable or frustrating or if the yarn is wrong for the pattern or perfect. Reviews are often helpful but what I find basically impossible (socks) other people find addictive, we are all so different in what we find enjoyable.
Agreed
