Reverse shoulder stitching with short rows

Hi everyone. I’m new to this site and thrilled to find it!

Been knitting 4 years, mostly self-taught, but I’m stuck right now. I’m making a vest that has short-row shaping at the shoulders. I’m at the point where I have to reverse the shaping instructions for the second front shoulder and am not sure what to do about the short rows. On the first shoulder the instructions were to k19wt, then purl back; k15wt, then purl back, etc., down to k3wt and purl back.

In order to reverse the shaping, do I need to start out with the k3wt, then when I do the k7wt pick up the wraps for the first short row or what? Or maybe all the short rows should be purl rows?

I’m just not sure what to do and would appreciate some help.

Thanks a bunch.

Do the short rows on the purl side for the shoulder shaping, using the same numbers as you did for the knit.
