Remain in pattern while increasing

I am working on cable pattern cardigan. On the sleeve I increase one stitch at beginning and end of row, on first and fifth row (same pattern row). But how do I determine what to do with these new stitches on other knit rows to remain in pattern?
Row 1 and 5: K2. K2tog. yo. K6. * yo. Sl1. K1. psso. K1. K2tog. yo. K6. rep to last 4 sts. yo. Sl1. K1. K2.)
Row 3: k1. K2tog. yo. *K8. yo. Sl1. K2tog. psso. yo. repeat to last 11. K8. yo. Sl1. K1. psso. K1.
Row 7: K1. K2tog. yo. *K1. C6b. K1. yo. Sl1. K2tog. psso. yo. Rep to last 11 sts. K1. C6B. Kl. yo. Sl1. K1. psso. K1

Thanks for any help you can give me!!

I think I’d continue in stockinette on the edges until you get enough to add a 0/ or 0--8 stitches on each edge.
Or easier yet, just leave them in stockinette

Thanks for the info. will try that!
