Recycling Yarn - How is This Done?

I read on someone’s blog (just ended up there randomly) that they buy sweaters at thift stores and then frog them to get skeins of yarn they can re-use for new projects.

This gets the tree hugger in me buzzing :inlove: …and I’ve bought things at the thrift store that are gorgeous for $2!

I’m excited about trying this and would love some tips from anyone who has tried it. I fear ending up with a super knotted mess.
