Real socks and a felted cat bowl

Hi all,

I can’t remember if I posted these FOs yet, but I recently finished (finally!) my first-ever Two Toe-Up socks on one circular needle, and felted a cat bowl using my first-ever attempt at Fair Isle, all the while weaving in the loops in the back of the work.

Let me know what you think!

I got the instructions on how to weave in as you go fair isle from a video on HERE. I hope this helps someone else as much as it did me.

Very nice.

Beautiful! What do you use the cat bowl for? Is it big enough for kitty to lay in or…?

Love the Fair Isle cat bowl!

Love the cat bowl! It’s clear from the avatars on this forum that there are a lot of cat lovers around here. :cheering:

I imagine, though, if I made something like that for my cats, they would still prefer an old cardboard box…

Wow! What colorful socks!

And the cat bowl…

I hope he/she appreciates it! :teehee:

Cool. The felting/fulling gives the fair isle on the bowl a homey rustic look. And the socks look like the fit very well.

Very, very nice. Does the cat like the bowl?

Great job on them! They look great :woot:

The cat bowl is a gift for a friend’s kitty. It’s rather large: 12 inches in diameter at the base and 4.5 inches high. The cat should fit no problemo. If she doesn’t like it, then my friend and her three teenage daughters could use it for keeping hats and mittens by the front door.

No cat of mine would ever get that bowl… LOL! I’d claim it for myself a.s.a.p. and put it in a place of honor… it’s just too beautiful!
As for the socks… amazing… so many colours and so beautiful to look at. I imagine they are great to wear as well.

To Knit or not to Knit, that is the question.

The recipient of the cat bowl, Kitty, loves it. Yay! And I’ve worn the socks several times and love them, although it’s a little too chilly these days to wear them now.

your socks and cat bed look great!

The cat bowl is beautiful! Glad Kitty loves it! And congrats on your socks! They’re awesome!
