Hi every body.I prepare to knit the mittens. and i read the pattern first. The pattern shows that [I]" Work even in patt as set until piece measures 2½" from beg, ending after a WS row"[/I] .And i dont understand how to do like this…Especialy what does 2½" mean?.Help me plz 
Reading pattern :-?
Work even in pattern as set means to continue the stitch pattern without any increases or decreases. 2 1/2" means 2 1/2 inches or about 6.5cm.
Work even means to work in the pattern stitch without any incs or decs. Do that until your piece is 2½" from the cast on. ‘Ending after a WS row’ means that you work the WS row and the next row will be a RS row.
If you’re doing ribbing, since both sides look pretty much the same, then just work to the measurement and the next row will probably switch over to stockinette st where you’ll be knitting the RS row.

I have one question abt knitting an i-cord. How to Work 2 sts in Built in I-Cord. i already search on youtube but they usually work 3 sts or more. so i dont know what should i do And i see in the pattern about

I’m not sure if there are more directions in your pattern for the built in I-cord but you can knit it with two sts. It will be a less noticable trim (more of a slightly rounded edge) but the technique will be the same as the 3st I-cord
Well, we don’t know what pattern you’re making, so it would be hard to check what it means.
But if it says k2, then k2. Icord can be done on any number of sts.

No, you don’t slip the sts back. On RS rows, just knit them with the regular needles, on WS rows slip them and turn. It’s ‘built in’ so it’s created with the regular stitches.
