I’m trying to knit model 30 from the Tema 15 book. For circular knitting I believe I need to read the pattern from right to left. You need to do p1 marking stitch, 3 stitches for XXL and then you need to go to the full 24 stitch pattern. There’s another p1 marking stitch. Do i start again with 3 stitches and then the full pattern. Thank you

Yes, the chart is read right to left for circular knitting. Is the pattern written for knitting in the round or are you adapting it for circular knitting? If it’s written for flat knitting, are the p1 marking stitches selvedge stitches?
I don’t have this pattern but I recommend adding up the sts to make sure it makes sense with your cast on. It’s a good check that you’re interpreting the chart correctly.
Thank you its a pattern for circular knitting. Theread are 252 stitches for the size I’m doing
With a marking stitch at each side so there are 125 stitches at each side. I’ve very little experience with circular knitting or reading charts but if I take 3 off the 125 it’s not divisible by 24 so wondered if at each side I’d the marking stitches I would do the 3 stitches . Thank you
So there’s a p1, 3sts for your size, a 24 stitch repeat and then a p1? There are no sts after the repeat and before the second p1?
If that’s so, then I don’t see how it adds up either. You might send an email to the designer or publisher to ask.
Ive sent a copy of the pattern. Thank you
Thanks, carolynbutterfield. If you could post a scan of just the first couple of rows of the chart from edge to edge (not all the chart rows) that would be helpful.
Thanks for the scan. Sadly, I can’t see a way to make it work with 252 sts. It’ll work with 242 but I don’t see the 252 working. You might check and see if the other sizes are also a problem and then either contact the designer or publisher.
There’s also a group on Ravelry for SKD yarns which has the pattern for sale. It’s possible that they may be able to help.

Thank you for your help, much appreciated
