Very clever, and you did a really nice job on it! I love starfishes, so I will call this the ‘starfish’ hat, and I think I will add it to my “to-knit” list! 
Thanks…my DH wasn’t real happy about modeling:mrgreen: so I had to take the pic very quickly…but the “back” stretches all the way down…( for dreads) the “starfish” appearance is actually the dec part of the pat…:eyebrow:
