Rainy Day Scarf

Has anyone knit the rainy day scarf? I would like the edges to be even but not sure how to do this with this pattern. I have tried to slip first st but not working out for me.

Is this it? http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/rainy-day-scarf

Could you define what you mean by even? If it’s the pattern GrumpyGramma posted, it looks to me like the edges come out even, as in straight, but it’s probably going to look wonky until you block it.

I am meaning with a chain st look on ea edge. I just added two st’s to ea edge so I can slip a stitch at beganning of ea row. Looks like this may be my answer. Thanks for answerring my post

Thanks, I did cheat on the edges & it is turning out fine.
I added two extra st’s on ea end so I could slip at the begainning of ea row then go right into a k st before doing the pattern. Guess I need to use my brain sometimes. lol

Glad you got it figured out. I was going to suggest adding a stitch or two to each edge, but what you did with them after that depended on what you wanted as the end result.
