Raglan Sleeve Cardigan help needed!

I have started knitting again for the first time in 30 years. After a couple of scarves, I am now trying a Men’s Raglan Sleeve Cardigan - I made it thru the neck increase rows and now have a long piece (119 stitches) with 2 neck pieces at either end. I have to make one stitch at Front Bands for neck shaping every 6 rows - Do I make the one stitch at the first front band row - this leaves a small hole, or do I make one stitch at the 6th front band row?

The pattern is in Leisure Arts magazine The Complete Book of Raglan Sweaters - Number 13.

I welcome and appreciate any and all assistance.

:???:

It depends how the pattern reads - m1 on next row and every 6th row, or m1 every 6th row.

Wow - thanks for your quick response -

It says “…make one stitch at front bands for neck shaping , every 6 rows 10 times.” Since I have not done this before I have no frame of reference. It doesn’t seem to say exactly where the one stitch goes.

I can’t figure out how it should look.

It’s probably just inside the edge sts which make up the front neck/button band.

Thanks again - It still looks strange - hopefully it will start to make sense soon.

I truly appreciate your help

I restarted the sweater because it looked wrong…I am now back to the spot that caused me grief before…any other suggestions?
When i connected it either way it didn’t look right. Thanks again
