I would like to enlarge my raglan cardigan from
L to XL … …do I just keep going further with the increases? That would make sweater longer though?
Gauge is 5 st = 1 inch
Thank you so much!
Welcome to KH!
What is the name of your pattern?
If this is top down, then yes, extending the raglan will increase the circumference of the sweater and the length of the armholes.
Hi thanks for helping me!
Yes this is a top down raglan sweater. Name of Pattern is Sorbet Cardigan.
I have one more question if you wouldn’t mind. I believe there is an error in my pattern.
May I post the few lines where I believe the error is?

Thanks for the name of the pattern and for asking about posting. A few lines are fine. We don’t like to post large portions of patterns due to copyright.
I think the cast on should be 123 stitches to make rows 1 through 4 work. Am I correct?
Many thanks for your help, will wait to hear from you!

Think I forgot to send the pic of the pattern! Questioning number of stitches to cast on … should be 123?

One question, does the pattern define m st = k1?
If not I assume it’s the stitch that divides the fronts and back from the shoulders. The sts highlighted in yellow plus the m st equals 115. The make one (M1R or M1L) won’t use a stitch but occur between sts.
For example:
G’mornin’!
First I just want to express my gratitude for sticking with me on my confusion with this pattern … I’ve been so anxious to start this (using Berroco Folio) and wanted to completely understand beforehand. I finally believe I might understand
and can start this sweater confidently!
Here is a picture of the abbreviation and increase section as you asked me about M st = K1.
Also, if I may, just one more question ? Where do I put my stitch markers, right before m1L and right after m1R? Believe it or not I’ve mad several raglans before this and this written a bit different and threw me off! Many thanks for your help on this, I’ve learned a lot!!

Please don’t hesitate to ask questions. We’ll all be happy to help.
Thanks for the definition. Yes, that makes sense of the stitch which is between the Make ones (4 sts total).
You could put a marker after the M1L. Then you essentially knit to the marker, M1L, slip marker, k1, M1R.
It is an unusual way to write this compared to other raglans, you’re right.
I think I got it now … typically I can “read “ my knitting and know right where increases and decreases go without markers but this threw me for a loop! Thank you sooo much! Xo
