Raglan pullover sweater question

Raglan Armhole Shaping Bind off 4 (5, 6, 6, 6, 7) sts at beg of next 2 rows  48 (52, 56, 62, 66, 70) sts. Dec 1 st each side every 3rd row 2 (2, 4, 4, 4, 6) times as foll:

when dec falls on RS row  K1, k2tog, k to last 3 sts; end ssk, k1;

when dec falls on WS row p1, p2tog, p to last 3 sts; end ssp, p1. Dec 1 st each side every other row 15 (16, 15, 16, 18, 17) times, working only RS row dec above.Where it starts Dec 1 st (right above) should that be on another line as another part of the instructions or is it still part of the WS row instruction because it’s telling me to decrease 1st every third row before? Also, if I do this, do I take the decrease at the beginning and end of the RS row? It says each side but I’ll only be working on the RS rows, right? So in order to Dec 1 st each side I would have to take from the beg and end? HELP!!!

These instructions have tow parts. The first part:

Raglan Armhole Shaping Bind off 4 (5, 6, 6, 6, 7) sts at beg of next 2 rows  48 (52, 56, 62, 66, 70) sts. Dec 1 st each side every 3rd row 2 (2, 4, 4, 4, 6) times as foll:
when dec falls on RS row  K1, k2tog, k to last 3 sts; end ssk, k1;
when dec falls on WS row p1, p2tog, p to last 3 sts; end ssp, p1.

You’ll BO stitches at the beginning of the next two row. You’ll dec 1 st at each edge of the next row, which should be the RS and also the 3 row. Then dec on every 3rd row after that which won’t always be on the RS, some will be on the WS.

The next part:

Dec 1 st each side every other row 15 (16, 15, 16, 18, 17) times, working only RS row dec above.

Is done after you’ve done the first part of the decreasing to shape the armhole, and probably should have been on another line. You do the decreases only on the RS rows. By `each side’ it means each edge - the beg and end of the RS row.

Decrease each end means at the beginning of the row AND the end of the row. You want both sides to slant inward at the sides.

Do your armhole shaping on the two rows, then, though it’s open to interpretation.

I think I’d work two rows after the armhole shaping and start my decreases on the 3rd and do them on every 3rd row after that for the number of times specified. When you’re doing the decreases on every 3rd row, you will have to do decreases on the purl side, too. When you do them every other row, you’ll only be doing them on the knit side.
