raglan jumper help !

Good morning Knitters from Shrewsbury Shropshire!

How are you all? Are you busy with christmas knits?

My knitting is progressing and I’ve done some lovely projects. BUT raglan still catch me out.

I’ve done then buy the left side when the jumper is facing, just isn’t quite right. I’m wondering if you can explain the last bit in simpler terms lol

I’ve attached a pic of them, the right looks fine but the left, I’m not happy with and I’ll definitely re do it. 🫣

At least it’s only a few rows to undo, maybe just those last few after the 8 rows at the top of the page. Visually check the decreases befor you take any rows out.
Just to recap:
The first set of decreases (at the check mark) are more straightforward. If you call the next row (ws), row 1 then dec at the neck edge on rows 1,2 and 3. Dec at the raglan on rows 1 and 2. (13sts remaining)
For the next set of 8 rows, start numbering from 1 again for the “next row.” Dec at the neck edge on rows 1,3,5 and 7. Dec at the raglan on rows 1,3,4,6 and 8. (4sts remaining)
It should match the right side.

Yes, that is good that’s it’s just the top bit. To be honest, I knew I wasn’t doing it right, but I thought, finish it off and re look at it now its ready to do the neck and finish off.

Thank you for your help xx :kissing_heart:

Glad you got it to work! I love the tweed yarn you’re using too.

It is nice isn’t it! The jumper is for my husband :kissing_heart:
