Raglan decrease Help!!

I think I’ve just messed up my raglan decreasing… please let me know if what Ive knitted so far is correct or wrong!!!

Before I start the below I have 116st.

The pattern says:
K3, Sl, K1, psso, K to last 5 sts, K2tog K3
K3, P2tog, P to last 5 sts, P2tog tbl, K3

Working all armhole decreases as set above, now working raglan edge 3 st in g st throughout cont as following:
Dec 1 st at each end of next 13 rows and then on foll alt rows till 50 st remain.

What ive done is decreased 4 st on the 13 rows, and then on the alternate row so left with 52st.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but I have a feeling, I just needed to stick to the 2 rows I’ve listed above for the 13 rows, then NO decrease on what would be the WS until I got to the 50st.

I think I’ve read this pattern soooo many times over and clearly still haven’t got it!

TIA!

Your feeling is correct. Stick to the two rows given for the 13rows of decrease then decrease only on the RS rows.
Reading the pattern over, reading it out loud, having a friend read it to you may all help. And sometimes, just come here and see if the collective knitters’ brains can help out.

Another thing I sometimes do is enlarge the pattern photo or people’s project photos on Ravelry. You can often see where the increases are and see whether they reflect what you think the pattern is telling you.

Although sometimes the pattern photo is in a dark colour and nobody’s photo happens to show the bit you want to see!
